Centennial Gardens:
Beautification and Restoration
of the Privacy Lattice Garden
In September 2020, my project was completed with the help of my boy scout troop, my family, and my community. Without the help of everyone, my project would've been an impossible task. I am now working to complete the finishing tasks required to become an Eagle Scout. Thank you to all who helped by either volunteering, donating, or just being there for me throughout this process.
My project commitment was to restore a butterfly and hummingbird garden in Centennial Gardens, Floral Park. A winter storm knocked down a 12-foot by 48-foot wide trellis privacy screen in the hummingbird and butterfly garden.

Centennial Gardens is a 13-acre passive use community park. The park and bird sanctuary includes: nature paths, overlooks, walking bridges, rose gardens, hummingbird gardens, Children's Gardens, a Giving Garden, sensory gardens, and more.
